I am getting really excited about my upcoming maternity photo sessions. I have one planned for our beach vacay which is next week- yippee! Then, a lovely friend volunteered to do some for me back home too. I have found some really incredible inspiration photos online and wanted to share with you and get some feedback.

Isn't this lovely? I adore the simplicity and the white on black and white tones. I love the big hat idea too! I'm working on the outfit for this shot now!

Since I'm due in January, this would be so fun to do in our wooded yard! Hubs could take this one!

If you haven't noticed, I love shots taken outdoors embracing the greenery and natural lighting.

Love the femininity of this shot.

I think a shot similar to this would be cool in front of some old buildings- has a nice vintage feel to it.

Kind of generic but still cute!

This was another of my top picks but finding this skirt has been a nightmare. A girlfriend offered to make it but the cost was too high for a one time wear. But, I adore the fluidity.

What are your favorites? Do you have any other ideas? Post links in comments.
Stunning. I wish I had done more like this. Another cute one to do is to show yourself in one spot pregnant and then take the exact same photo again (in very similar clothes) with the baby in your arms.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow! These are absolutely stunning. I wish I had done ANY maternity pics. What was I thinking?? Looking back, that is such a bummer that I have no pictures like this. Boo.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure yours will be beautiful!! Can't wait!
So many creative ones. I had one with "Do not open until" - Love it
ReplyDeleteI like the Frame shot the best, but there are a lot of great ideas here. I think it really depends on who you, and your family are- do you want to go soft and gentle, or bold and celebratory?
ReplyDeleteLove the one with the mommy and daddy holding the baby clothes between then. I also like the Black and white ones a lot.
ReplyDeleteI love that last one, it'll be great for on the beach! And the one with the clothes-line? Adorable! I love where maternity photography has gone--way creative and fun--and love seeing pics like this. Whatever you end up doing I'm sure is going to be wonderful and fun :)
ReplyDeleteBri, dont think skirt for that one shot, think altered silk/satin sheet...my friend did something like it for her wedding. you still get the flow...but its not gna break ya!!
ReplyDeletereally lovely. love the photos!
ReplyDeleteThese make me want to have another baby! So very cute! No matter what you decide, they will be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose are some cool ideas! I didn't have maternity photos done, but enjoy your shoot! You'll have to share with us readers afterward :)
ReplyDeleteLove the blue dress, so beautiful
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of having maternity photos! Seems like a neat idea
ReplyDeleteThese are really great. My favorite ones are the one holding the picture frame, and the cowgirl on the logs. Oh okay, and the clothesline shot is pretty adorable too!
