Congratulations to my friend Jolene over at Intrigue You Forever Vintage for reaching 100 listed items in her Etsy shop and over 200 fans on Facebook! IYFV has been a successful vintage seller on Ebay for some time and branched out into the Etsy scene this past year. Her items are wonderful and I know you'll love her as much as I do.
About
Growing up I was inspired and intrigued by my Mother's old clothes and shoes...Her disco dresses adorned with beads and feathers and her platform shoes with 4" heels called to me from the back of her closet. We frequented thrift stores and resale shops and I grew to Love the thrill of the hunt. At a young age I became an expert thrifter and that skill has stayed with me my entire life. After marriage and 2 Little boys I put my passion for fashion and my hunting skills to work and created "Intrigue You Forever Vintage". It enabled me to be a Stay at home Mom and do something I am truly passionate about. I started selling on ebay in the beginning of 2000 and have been going strong ever since. I have recently expanded my offerings to Etsy and Style.ly. There is something very romantic about vintage clothing to me...each piece tells a story and has had it's own life before it came to you. Every piece is unique in some way, which makes it even more special. I have learned that the quality of craftsmanship and fabric in vintage clothing is above and beyond anything that is made today. Things were just so different back then! My favorite eras are the 1940's & 50's, but I find myself wearing more and more 1960's and 70's pieces these days. I really do not see myself as a vintage dealer, but more of a "Re-Homer"... (don't you love this term?)
It is so exciting to find a beautiful cast aside piece of vintage that would probably end up in the trash or a rag bag somewhere and save it. Bringing it home to clean and repair it's flaws and bring it back to life for someone else to enjoy again. This is my Love and my Passion and I am so happy to be able to share it with you!

ReplyDeleteToday, many women choose lanvin bag, because they like the image of a large bag lanvin. If you are not so high, you'd better choose a small bag will make you look more slender. If you are that high and strong, big bag lanvin handbag is your best choice. The big bags distraction so that people will only notice your beautiful bag, rather than your body.
