Stop Staring!

I would pretty much sum up my style as "vintage meets modern". I love the vibe of the past but love to put my own timely spin on things. Vintage Inspired Clothing is a specialty at Stop Staring! I reached out to Stop Staring! pre-pregnancy actually and they sent me this beautiful 40's style dress fitted with it's own little belt called "Ashley".  It's available in grey or black.  It's a slim fitting, curve hugging shape with a slightly puffed sleeve and back slit. 

If you recall, I was on a weight loss journey pre-pregnancy and lost 30 lbs. So, I wanted to "review" and wear the dress when I felt comfortable and pretty. Shortly after I lost the weight, I got pregnant immediately with my first child! Then, I lost even more weight because of the morning sickness. So, long story short- Stop Staring! has been SO patient waiting on my review and here it is!

Stop Staring! is NOT a maternity company. However, I think that it's great to embrace your own style during pregnancy or any other time of your life. This IS my style so this is how I rocked it!  

With such a simple silhouette, this style dress really shows off the feminine curves of a woman's body. I embraced my pregnancy curves at 7 months here in a fun photo shoot by Michelle Thacker Smith.

I Loved this dress. I cannot wait to wear it again post pregnancy and follow up with a totally different body shape and style it up a little differently too. This dress makes me feel so sexy and "I am woman! Hear me roar!" 

The dress is a great modest length and modest neckline so I can wear it to work or to play! I love the waistline and attention to subtle details It features a zip up back and easy pull on style. There is also quite a bit of stretch quality to the dress itself.  Stop Staring! calls it the "millenium stretch fabric" and says it is their most popular fabric because of it's comfort and versatility for day and evening.

I highly recommend this company if you have a "retro" style or you just love classic shapes and designs. The quality is superb and the fit is just excellent. They offer XS through 1X in sizes and a handy fit chart so that you can pick just the right fit. There are a multitude of styles including Cocktail Dresses. I am in love with so many of their styles and can't wait to order another dress post pregnancy. Check out the SMTHA-01 in black and white polka dots or the TIMLS-03 in a fabulous Emerald Green!!
